Job summary

Meriden Media in Peterborough is seeking experienced Commercial Vehicle Bodyshop Technicians to join our expanding team. The role covers inspecting damaged commercial vehicles and trailers, repairing or replacing body panels, and performing MIG welding and fabrication.

Candidates with backgrounds in panel beating, coachbuilding, or vehicle conversions are encouraged. This permanent, full-time position offers a competitive salary (£35,000 - £39,000) and two vacancies.

Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle body repair, panel replacement, welding, or fabrication.
• MIG welding skills and use of workshop power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect damaged commercial vehicles and trailers.
• Repair or replace body panels and structural components.
• Carrying out panel beating, straightening, and alignment work.
• Fabricating replacement panels and sections as required.
• Completing MIG welding and general fabrication tasks.
• Preparing repaired surfaces through sanding, filling, and priming.
• Undertaking trailer repairs and refurbishment work.
• Recording completed work and conducting final quality inspections.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment.
