A leading orthopaedic healthcare provider in London is seeking a training professional to develop and deliver training aimed at improving the understanding of the Armed Forces community's unique needs within the NHS. You will implement all training materials, engage with health services, and help enhance health outcomes for veterans and serving personnel. This role supports the mission to promote equality and diversity in healthcare training. The position is an exciting opportunity to impact frontline NHS services and enhance patient care.
The Veteran Aware trainers will drive the development of a skilled, educated, and inclusive NHS workforce to support providers in meeting the evolving needs of the Armed Forces community. Working across primary, secondary, tertiary and specialist healthcare, the training team will educate and support staff in reducing health inequalities and disadvantages for the Armed Forces community. Strategically, they will deliver education and training for ICBs and ICSe to ensure the Armed Forces community are an identified population for consideration and assessment.
This is an exciting new project within the VCHA programme and an opportunity to research, develop, and deliver a comprehensive training package for the NHS in England. Using your knowledge and skills to deliver high quality training will help to ensure that every member of the Armed Forces community who enters the NHS, as either a patient or member of staff, are understood.
