Job summary

Georgiana Head Recruitment Limited is seeking an ACA/CTA qualified VAT Manager or Senior Manager for a Top 10 accounting firm, based in Southampton. You will build, manage and grow an advisory VAT portfolio with Partners and Directors, acting as the main HMRC contact for clients and expanding the firm’s local network.

The role offers hybrid working with flexible and part-time options, and visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• ACA/CTA qualified (or equivalent)
• Deep UK VAT knowledge and updates
• Strong client and network development skills
• Experience in advisory VAT and senior managerial responsibilities
• Excellent HMRC liaison and communication abilities

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow an advisory VAT portfolio with support from Partners/Directors

• Identify and pursue opportunities to sell new VAT services to existing clients

Job description

Our client is a Top 10 accounting firm who seek an ACA/CTA qualified (or equivalent) VAT Manager or Senior Manager to join their VAT team based in Southampton. You will be responsible for building, managing and developing an advisory portfolio supported by the Partner and Director. You will have significant technical understanding of and previous experience within UK VAT and knowledge of any recent key updates and any areas of focus within UK VAT. You will be the main point of contact with HMRC for clients. You will need to be confident in your ability to build internal and external networks in the local area to drive new business opportunities and have the ability to seek opportunities for selling new services to existing clients.
