Qualifications

• Supervise the shift technicians and co-ordinate workload.
• Diagnosis and repair of vehicles.
• Servicing of vehicles to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with the Van Centre Manager regarding shift staff and training needs.
• Participate in call out and breakdown rota.
• Carry out scheduled safety inspections and report any required rectifications.

Skills

Electrical and Mechanical skills

Ability to use diagnostic equipment

Understanding of H&S issues in a workshop environment

Clean Driving Licence

Education

C&G or NVQ3 Vehicle Technician qualification

Job description

• Supervise the shift technicians and co-ordinate workload
• Liaise with the Van Centre Manager regarding shift staff, training needs, KPI's etc
• Diagnosis and repair of vehicles
• Servicing of vehicles to a high standard
• Participation in call out and breakdown rota - if/when required
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment
• Carry out scheduled safety inspections and report any rectifications required
• Complete job cards clearly and accurately
  C&G or NVQ3 Vehicle Technician qualification
• Electrical and Mechanical skills and experience
• Good understanding of H&S issues in a workshop environment
• Clean Driving Licence - HGV would be an advantage
