A leading vehicle manufacturer in Bellshill seeks an experienced Van Technician. You will service and repair both electric and internal combustion engine vans, ensuring high quality is maintained. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Van Technician or similar, along with NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance. Position Type: Professional

Location: Bellshill, Scotland

Shift Pattern: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday (occasional Saturdays)

Hours: 42.5 hours per week

Salary: £16.50 and £18.00 per hour, depending on experience. Overtime: Paid at 1.5x hourly rate

You are a skilled and experienced technician with a background in servicing, repairing, and maintaining vans in a commercial vehicle environment. You take pride in quality workmanship, work well as part of a team, and are always looking to develop your skills further.

  • Experienced as a Van Technician, HGV Technician, or Light Commercial Vehicle Technician
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Confident using diagnostic tools and following manufacturer standards
  • Strong attention to detail and a positive, can-do attitude
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
What will you do as a Van Technician?

As part of our Light Commercial Vehicle team, you’ll carry out high-quality servicing and repairs across both EV and ICE vans. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines
  • Diagnosing faults accurately using the latest diagnostic equipment and technology
  • Preparing vehicles for MOTs and conducting thorough safety inspections
  • Working to high standards that meet or exceed manufacturer and VOSA requirements
  • Communicating effectively with the Shift Supervisor to confirm job specifications and timeframes
  • Completing all required documentation and following company processes
