Job description

Due to company growth, we are looking to appoint a Drainage Assistant to join our Sheffield Depot. Working as part of a two person teams, you will be responsible for attending drainage related issues such as blockages, pipe clearing, cleansing and reactive call outs.,

Responsibilities
  • Operate machinery
  • Ensure all H&S requirements are followed
  • Communicate with customers about scheduled works and address any concerns.
  • Assist in identifying drainage issues, including blockages, structural defects, infiltration, and root ingress.
  • Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear drains, sewers, and pipework.
  • Remove waste materials and prevent build-up in wastewater systems.
  • Perform routine equipment checks and maintenance to ensure readiness.
  • Support CCTV inspections to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers.
  • Assist in emergency response situations, including flooding and urgent drainage issues.
  • Learn to complete job sheets, risk assessments, and method statements (RAMS) under supervision.
