Overview

Van Pack Assistant – Yorkshire Water Contract – Lanes / SUS – Malton, Yorkshire. We are recruiting for a Van Pack Assistant to join our team, delivering exceptional customer service and innovative operational solutions across the Malton Area, Yorkshire Region. Working Hours & Location

Location: Malton

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Van Pack Operator in support of working as a 2 person team.
  • Attend to customers, inform them of works due to be carried out and answer any concerns.
  • Support in inspections of drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks, or damage that could hinder water flow.
  • Report all findings/data to the appropriate teams.
  • Assist with all aspects of high pressure water jetting.
  • Assist the Van Pack Operator to operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes, and other wastewater systems.
  • Adjust pressure levels based on the condition of the system and the nature of the blockage (e.g., grease, debris, or tree roots).
  • Use the equipment to remove waste materials and prevent build-up in drains and sewer lines.
  • Competent in using an electronic device (laptop/tablet) for data entry.
  • Ensure safety issues are reported in line with company procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance and servicing of high-pressure water jetting equipment to keep it in proper working order.
  • Assist with CCTV inspections where required to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers.
Experience and Qualifications

(Desirable but not essential unless stated as required)

  • Full UK driving license (Required).
  • Water Jetting Association Red or blue book

  • Manual Handling
  • Emergency First Aid
  • NRSWA
  • EUSR National Water Hygiene
  • Medium risk confined space

Full training in the above will be provided if not already obtained.
