Job summary

ATA North is seeking reliable owner-drivers to join our growing logistics network in Scotland. This self-employed role offers a competitive day rate of £180 and the potential for additional earning opportunities through a supportive dispatch system.

Drivers must own or lease a suitable van and have Goods in Transit and Hire & Reward insurance, plus a UK driving licence with up to 6 points. Expect 60–80 deliveries daily in the Glasgow area, with training periods and a Monday–Friday schedule,

• Experience as a self-employed owner-driver or courier preferred.
• Excellent route planning and time management are essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver parcels across the Glasgow postcode area as part of ATA North's network.
• Handle 60–80 deliveries per day once trained.
• Work Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays.

This is a self-employed role offering a competitive day rate, consistent work, and exceptional earning potential. Because you provide your own vehicle and insurance, your take-home pay is maximised.

Whether you're an experienced multi-drop driver or looking to fully utilise the earning potential of having your own van, we provide the support needed to succeed.

Pay & Earning Potential

• £180.00 day rate – Keep 100% of your earnings
• Pay structure: Issued two weeks in arrears, then paid weekly thereafter.
• Simple self-employed payment process managed through Shield Accountancy (unless you operate via your own Ltd company).
• Additional earning opportunities available throughout the week to boost your income.

Your Typical Day

• Start times: Between 07:00 and 09:00.
• Route: Delivering across the Glasgow postcode area.
• Volume: Average 60–80 parcel deliveries per day once fully trained.
• Reduced delivery volumes during your initial training/routing period.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday working, with occasional Saturdays.

Requirements

• Vehicle: Must own or lease a reliable LWB or XLWB (in good cosmetic and mechanical condition).
• Insurance: Valid Goods in Transit and Hire & Reward (Courier) insurance.
• Licence: Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Right to Work in the UK and ability to pass a background check.
• Multi-drop experience preferred but not essential.
