Job Description

Are you an experienced Van Driver looking for consistent weekday work and regular delivery routes? We’re recruiting dependable drivers to join an established delivery operation in Ilkeston, transporting food products nationwide with ongoing work available.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, is confident managing a busy delivery schedule and wants reliable hours throughout the working week.

You’ll be responsible for delivering food products to multiple locations across the UK using a refrigerated van. You’ll manage your own route, ensuring products are transported in suitable conditions and deliveries are completed safely, accurately and on time.

The position involves regular multi-drop work, so good organisation and time management are essential. You’ll also be expected to communicate professionally with customers, maintain high standards of service and drive responsibly throughout the day.

Duration: This is an ongoing position offering regular work and consistent opportunities for suitable drivers.

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: The role pays £13.65 per hour PAYE, with regular Monday-to-Friday work, early starts and approximately 10-hour shifts. Working Hours: You’ll work Monday to Friday, starting at 04:00, with shifts lasting approximately 10 hours. These regular daytime delivery runs offer consistent weekly hours, with finishes generally around the early afternoon depending on the route and workload.

Experience & Qualifications

You must hold a full UK Driving Licence and have at least one year of commercial van driving experience, including previous multi-drop delivery work. You’ll also need to be comfortable operating a refrigerated van and have a good knowledge of UK roads.
