Huws Gray Limited of Scarborough Partnering is seeking a capable Van Driver/Stock Controller to join our team. You’ll maintain stock records, perform stock checks, and ensure deliveries are accurate and on time. A confident, detail‑oriented person with a hands‑on approach will fit in well.

You will drive the branch van to deliver stock, manage levels and profiles, and support the team with inventory reporting and smooth day‑to‑day operations. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with stock control and inventory systems.
• Strong numerical awareness and attention to detail.
• Must have a full UK driving licence and be able to drive a company van.

We are looking for a Van Driver/ Stock Controller to join our team at Huws Gray Scarborough Partnering! If you’re in the trade or have ever tackled a home improvement project, you’ve probably heard of us. We’re the Huws Gray Group and we’re made up of a number of brands, including Huws Gray, Huws Gray Plant & Tool Hire, Civils & Lintels, The Timber Group, PDM, NDI and Anglia Tool Centre to name a few. Our Partnering Stores exclusively serve one customer, and we have a mix of stock in all of our partnering sites to support them with projects in their areas. Our stores ensure they get what they need, on time, every time.

We’re looking for an organised Van Driver/ Stock Controller to help keep things running smoothly. You’ll be the go-to person for keeping track of stock, making sure deliveries are on point, and helping everything move efficiently across the site.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Keeping stock records up to date and accurate and carrying out regular stock checks to ensure stock accuracy
• Carrying out regular van stock checks, audits and sorting out any mismatches.
• Delivering stock to our customers, using our branch van
• Stock ordering and management of stock levels and profiles
• Working closely with the team to keep stock moving smoothly and on time.
• Updating inventory systems and pulling together reports when needed.
• Spotting and flagging any issues like missing items, damage, or stock errors.
• Helping plan what needs reordering and chatting with suppliers to get it sorted.
• Keeping the stock area tidy, safe, and well-organised.
• Supporting safe working practices when handling stock.
• Supporting the wider team in day-to-day tasks

We are looking for someone who’s confident with stock control and inventory systems and ideally someone experience in a similar environment. You’ll need a good head for numbers, solid attention to detail and be comfortable using inventory software and Microsoft Office. If you’re someone who can stay organised, solve problems and work well both solo and with a team, you’ll fit right in.

There is a driving requirement for this role, so you will need a full UK Driving Licence for this role and be comfortable to drive a company van.
