Job summary

Smart Solutions is recruiting a reliable Van Driver to join an Environmental Health Service operation in Norwich. The role involves driving a company van and delivering council recycling bins to residential properties, with a Driver's Mate assisting with unloading.

The position offers day shifts Monday to Friday, 07:00–17:00, at £13.50 per hour, with overtime on Saturdays at 1.25x pay. Start date Monday 12th October and ongoing full-time opportunity.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence (Category B).
• Van driving experience preferred but not essential.
• Good understanding of road safety and driving regulations.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company van to deliver council recycling bins.
• Complete deliveries efficiently and according to planned routes.
• Work alongside a Driver's Mate to unload and distribute bins.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Provide a professional and courteous service to residents.
• Adhere to all road traffic regulations and health & safety procedures.
