Driver Hire Chelmsford & Harlow are recruiting a reliable Van Driver to join the Barnston, Essex team. You will deliver products to schools, nurseries and commercial customers across London and the South East, ensuring on-time, professional service.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 6:00am–4:00pm with no weekend work. Competitive hourly rate (£14.00–£14.50) and benefits include paid holiday, a uniform, a modern vehicle, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving licence.
• Previous van driving experience required.
• Good knowledge of London and surrounding areas is preferred.
• Friendly, professional and customer-focused attitude.
• Physically fit and able to lift/move products.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products safely and efficiently to customers.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks.
• Load van and secure goods properly.
• Unload deliveries and place as requested.
• Obtain proof of delivery where required.
• Provide excellent customer service and build relationships.
• Keep vehicle clean, tidy, and roadworthy.
• Report vehicle defects or delivery issues promptly.
• Assist with warehouse duties as needed.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.

Driver Hire Chelmsford & Harlow are recruiting on behalf of our client for a reliable and professional Van Driver / Service Delivery Representative to join their friendly team in Barnston, Essex.

Our client is an established business supplying washroom and cleaning products to schools, nurseries, academies and commercial customers across London and the South East.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced van driver who enjoys being out on the road, delivering goods and providing excellent customer service.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering products safely and efficiently to customers, ensuring every delivery is completed professionally and on time.

Your duties will include:

• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks.
• Loading your van and ensuring goods are secured correctly.
• Delivering products to schools, nurseries, academies and commercial premises.
• Unloading goods and placing deliveries where requested.
• Obtaining proof of delivery where required.
• Providing excellent customer service and building positive relationships with customers.
• Keeping your vehicle clean, tidy and roadworthy.
• Reporting vehicle defects or delivery issues promptly.
• Assisting with warehouse duties when required.
• Following all health and safety procedures.

What We're Looking For

• Full UK driving licence.

• Forklift licence (training may be available).
