Job summary

Workchain is recruiting a Van Driver for a temporary role in Reading. You will deliver electrical appliances to stores on established routes, loading and unloading, and ensuring on-time arrivals. A valid UK driving licence and prior van delivery experience are preferred.

Expected schedule is Monday to Friday, 08:00 starts, for a few weeks. You will be supported by the Workchain team throughout the assignment, with a straightforward store-to-store delivery pattern.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Previous van driving or delivery experience is preferred.
• Good timekeeping and a reliable attitude.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work independently and follow delivery instructions.
• Comfortable with some manual handling when loading and unloading appliances.

Responsibilities

• Delivering electrical appliances to stores across the designated delivery routes.
• Loading and unloading the van safely.
• Ensuring goods are handled carefully to prevent damage.
• Checking deliveries against the relevant paperwork.
• Ensuring deliveries are completed on time.
• Providing a professional and friendly service at delivery locations.
• Carrying out basic vehicle checks and reporting any issues.
