Job summary

Bradfords Building Supplies Ltd in Yeovil is seeking a Van Driver to be the face of our business on the road and in branch.

You will deliver materials to customers across multiple sites, ensuring deliveries are on time and in full, while providing friendly, professional service and building relationships with customers. A full clean licence is essential, and previous builders' merchant experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Full, clean driving licence is essential.
• Experience in a builders’ merchant or plumbing/heating environment is advantageous.
• Forklift licence would be great— training will be provided.

Bradfords Building Supplies Ltd is a leading independent builders’ merchant across the South West of England. Our success is built on our people and the service we provideand we continue to grow by bringing great individuals into our teams.

We’re looking for a Van Driver to join our team in Yeovil-a key role where you’ll be the face of our business out on the road and in branch.

This is more than just a driving role. You’ll be delivering materials to our customers across multiple sites, ensuring deliveries are on time, in full, and handled with care. You’ll take pride in providing a friendly, professional service- building relationships with customers and representing Bradfords to the highest standard.

Back in branch, you’ll support the wider team- helping serve customers, preparing orders, and keeping operations running smoothly. It’s a varied, hands‑on role where teamwork and flexibility are essential.

Along the way, you’ll also play your part in driving the business forward-spotting sales opportunities, identifying new customer sites, and feeding back valuable insights to the team.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Enjoys being on the road and delivering excellent customer service
• Has a positive, can-do attitude and works well as part of a team
• Is organised, reliable and takes pride in their work
• Understands the importance of health & safety and safe vehicle handling
• Is confident communicating with customers and colleagues

A full, clean driving licence is essential. Experience in a builders’ merchant, plumbing & heating environment, or a similar role would be an advantage, and a forklift licence would be great- but full training will be provided.
