Job summary

Driver Hire Guildford is seeking a Permanent Van Driver (Cat B) to deliver luxury patisserie to prestigious clients around London from Woking. Shifts start at 4am and typically run about 5 hours, with 6 hours paid.

You'll hold a key for some premises, manage loading and route planning, complete delivery paperwork, and maintain excellent customer service while driving a refrigerated Transit van.

Qualifications

• UK Cat B licence with no more than 3 minor penalty points.
• Verifiable references.
• Delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Driver Hire is recruiting for a Permanent Van Driver (Cat B) for a specialist wholesale patisserie supplies company. Our client makes luxury desserts for the hotel, restaurant, airline, event and up-market retail trades.

It is a privately owned and run business, with the owner being an award-winning pâtissier (pastry chef).

Your role would be to carefully deliver these delicate desserts and pastries to a range of prestigious clients mostly around London.

Shifts start at 4am. Often working just about 5 hours per shift (but paid minimum of 6). Generally between 6 and 15 drops per shift.

You will hold a key for some premises.

Long wheel based van. Previous London delivery experience is preferred.

Benefits, Hours And Pay of the Van Driver

• £15 per hour
• Paid 6 hours per shift
• 4am start

Responsibilities of the Cat B Van Driver

• Perform daily vehicle inspection

• Ensure all delivery paperwork is accurately completed and signed
• Interact with other staff and clients in a friendly and professional manner
• Follow all rules of the road and safe working practices
• Drive a refrigerated Transit van
• Possess the flexibility to go the extra mile and have a full commitment to providing excellent customer service
• Be comfortable driving in London
