Job summary

Pertemps are recruiting a Luton Van Driver for a client in Rochester. This temp-to-perm role offers a reliable route into a permanent position with a growing company.

The position is based in Rochester, Kent with a pay rate of £14.44 per hour and an overtime rate after 8 hours per day. Working Monday to Friday from 06:00 AM. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence is required.
• Ability to lift and move items up to 100kg.
• Reliable and hardworking with a strong work ethic.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Luton van to complete deliveries and collections on designated routes.
• Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Ensure deliveries are completed accurately within timescales.
• Maintain delivery paperwork and records.
• Provide excellent customer service at sites.

Van Driver Responsibilities

• Driving a Luton van to complete deliveries and collections across designated routes
• Loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently
• Heavy lifting involved, with items weighing up to 100kg during loading and unloading
• Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and within agreed timescales
• Completing delivery paperwork and maintaining accurate records
• Providing excellent customer service at customer sites

Van Driver Skills and Experience Required

• Full UK Driving Licence
• Comfortable with heavy manual handling and lifting items up to 100kg
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
