Job summary

People Solutions are recruiting a Van Driver for Coventry, West Midlands. The role offers £13.77 per hour with weekly pay, on-site parking, and immediate starts. Training provided and ongoing support are available.

Day-to-day duties include multi-drop deliveries to butchers, shops, and restaurants, with 8–20 deliveries per shift. You will drive a 3.5 Tonne vehicle and perform pre/post-trip inspections while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid UK Category B driving licence.
• At least 12 months' experience driving a Category B vehicle.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping.
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads.

Responsibilities

• Completing multi-drop deliveries to butchers, shops, and restaurants.
• Carrying out approximately 8 to 20 deliveries per shift.
• Operating and driving 3.5 Tonne vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured correctly.
• Adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
• Reporting vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly.
• Assisting with loading/unloading goods when required.
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately.
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations.

This would suit applicants who have worked as a Van Driver, Delivery Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Courier Driver, 3.5 Tonne Driver, or Home Delivery Driver.

Rates of Pay

• £13.77 per hour

Shift Pattern

• Tuesday to Saturday
• Start times between 01:00 and 03:00

Essential Skills

To be successful as a Van Driver, you will need:

• A valid UK Category B Driving Licence
• A minimum of 12 months' experience driving Category B vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences and no major endorsements
• Good spoken and written English
• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping skills
• A good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
• Strong communication skills
• The ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively

Desirable Experience

• Experience driving commercial vehicles
• Previous multi-drop delivery experience
• Experience carrying out refrigerated deliveries

Training

• Full on-site training provided
• Shadowing shifts prior to working independently
• Ongoing support and development
