Job summary

Cytiva, a Danaher operating company, seeks a manufacturing leader at its Newquay site to own value stream performance across safety, quality, delivery and cost. You’ll deploy DBS tools, align staffing and production capability, and coach Team Leaders to drive engaged performance in a compliant environment.

The role reports to the Operations Manager in the General Manufacturing team and is permanent and on-site in Newquay, UK.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent leadership experience.
• ILM Level 4/5 Management qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing leadership with direct people-management.
• Knowledge of GMP and medical device quality expectations.
• Experience applying DBS lean tools to improve performance.
• Experience with headcount and budget planning.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP, Veeva or Kronos is beneficial.

• Coordinate support functions and communicate priorities through regular meetings.
• Manage value stream performance against the annual budget and cost targets.

The Value Stream Leader is responsible for the overall health, safety, environmental, quality, delivery and cost performance of an assigned manufacturing value stream. The role builds a culture of team-focused performance, translates strategic objectives into clear and measurable plans, and drives sustainable improvement through the Danaher Business System.

This position reports to the Operations Manager and is part of the General Manufacturing team located in Newquay, UK. This is a permanent, full-time, on-site role.

What You Will Do

• Own and improve value stream performance across health and safety, environment, quality, delivery and cost, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and company requirements.
• Deploy and maintain Danaher Business System tools, including Daily Management, Bowler reviews, action plans and Problem Solving Process activity, to achieve value stream objectives.
• Create and execute robust operating plans that align staffing, skills coverage and production capability with current and future demand.
• Lead, coach and develop Team Leaders and associates, ensuring effective performance conversations, development plans, training, succession planning and employee engagement.
• Manage day-to-day people processes within the value stream, including attendance, absence, timekeeping, payroll accuracy and appropriate escalation of performance matters.
• Coordinate support functions and communicate priorities through regular team and town hall meetings, creating clear accountability and strong cross-functional alignment.
• Manage value stream performance against the annual budget and deliver material and labour usage variance targets in line with company policies.

Who You Are

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent practical manufacturing leadership experience.
• ILM Level 4/5 Management qualification, or an equivalent recognised management qualification.
• Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing leadership role with direct people-management responsibility.
• Working knowledge of regulated manufacturing requirements, including good manufacturing practice and medical device quality expectations.
• Demonstrated experience applying the Danaher Business System, lean manufacturing or comparable continuous‑improvement tools to improve operational performance.
• Experience developing and executing department or business plans, including headcount, skills and budget planning.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant manufacturing or people systems; experience with SAP, Veeva and Kronos is beneficial.

Travel, Physical And Environment Requirements

• This is a site‑based manufacturing leadership role in Newquay. The role requires regular presence within production areas and adherence to all applicable site health, safety and environmental requirements.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Leading operational performance in a medical device, life sciences or other regulated manufacturing environment.
• Using structured problem‑solving, visual management and policy‑deployment methods to deliver measurable improvements.
