A leading technology firm in Eastleigh is seeking an Entry Level Vacuum Systems Technician to construct and maintain ultra-high vacuum systems. This role involves hands-on experience in a dynamic start-up environment, working closely with scientists and engineers. Ideal candidates will have a mechanical aptitude, strong problem-solving skills, and the willingness to learn. Competitive benefits include a bonus scheme and flexible hours.
We’re looking for a hands‑on Vacuum Systems Technician to play a key role in building, maintaining, and optimising ultra‑high vacuum (UHV) systems, the heart of our cold atom traps and quantum sensors.
This isn’t a “follow the manual” job; you’ll work closely with scientists and engineers, get your hands on complex systems, and help shape the way we design and operate vacuum technology. Start‑up life is challenging and fast‑paced, but the opportunity to make a tangible impact on cutting‑edge quantum devices is enormous.
No prior vacuum experience? That’s fine, we provide comprehensive training for candidates with initiative, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in quantum engineering.
At Aquark Technologies, we’re shaping the future of quantum sensing and cold atom technology. Spun out from the University of Southampton, we’re developing the world’s most portable, high‑performance cold atom traps, enabling next‑generation sensors for navigation, security, and metrology.
Following a major research contract win, we’re expanding our team. This is your chance to join a fast‑moving start‑up, work on cutting‑edge science, and make a real impact.
