Job summary

Seagate Technology seeks engineers to join the Equipment Engineering team in Springtown, Derry/Londonderry, Northern Ireland. You will own performance of complex manufacturing systems, liaise with OEMs, and blend hands-on troubleshooting with data analysis to resolve varied challenges.

This full-time role requires a degree in a relevant engineering field and extensive experience in vacuum-based equipment, with opportunities to lead cross-functional projects and collaborate worldwide.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in a relevant field with extensive engineering experience.
• Experience with vacuum-based manufacturing equipment and process platforms.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyse and interpret equipment performance data to drive decisions.
• Develop automation of KPI’s and early-detection strategies.
• Plan and coordinate equipment installation and EHS considerations.
• Maximise throughput and yield performance.
• Troubleshoot and manage machine down events.
• Lead improvement projects to reduce tool failures.
• Propose design changes for performance gains.
• Lead cross-functional projects and teams.
• Collaborate with Seagate sites in the USA and Asia.
