The DCC is seeking a Research Data Specialist to join our team. You will work on various projects, including delivering Research Data Management Training, Consultancy, and EC-funded research projects.

The Opportunity:

Are you interested in applying and developing your knowledge in data reuse and open research practices? The DCC offers an opportunity to contribute to a diverse, international programme of projects, consultancy, and training. You will work within a welcoming and knowledgeable team on globally impactful work. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of data reuse, gained through research or supporting researchers, and enthusiasm for sharing this knowledge to help others maximize research data utility worldwide. This role provides a chance to collaborate with a renowned centre of expertise in Digital Curation, Research Data Management, and Open Research, and to build international networks through collaborations with top research institutions globally.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Proven understanding of RDM, Open Science, FAIR principles, and digital curation communities
  • Experience engaging a wide range of stakeholders and balancing their interests
  • Experience in performing or supporting research in specific disciplinary areas (e.g., biomedical research, engineering, humanities)
  • Willingness and ability to work as part of a distributed team and to travel within the UK and internationally
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
