Vacancy for Project Manager, UK Data Archive

An exciting opportunity has arisen at the UK Data Archive for the post of Project Manager following the formation of a new team within the Technical Services directorate.

The UK Data Archive is the lead partner of the UK Data Service, funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), to meet the data needs of researchers, students, and teachers from all sectors, including academia, government, charities, foundations, research centres, think tanks, and the private sector.

Duties of the Role

The Project Manager will work within the Change team, overseeing projects involving Technical Services to ensure delivery on budget and schedule. They will collaborate with the Business Analyst to meet technical specifications and assist with developing and implementing technical solutions and process improvements.

The role is full-time and fixed-term until 30 September 2022, with the possibility of extension. A job share can be considered, contingent on staffing availability.

Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant degree or equivalent experience, possess a high-level project management qualification, and have managed successful IT projects. They should have experience in a structured project environment, be able to work independently, and meet deadlines.

Excellent interpersonal skills and IT literacy are essential for working with diverse stakeholders at all organizational levels.
