The School of Humanities at the University of Southampton offers a diverse range of subjects with high-quality teaching within a vibrant research and enterprise culture. Southampton Digital Humanities supports this environment by enabling staff and students to adopt digital and computational approaches in teaching, research, and enterprise.

We are seeking a Commercialisation Project Officer to support the delivery of ‘Critical Cataloguing for Digital Preservation’, an AHRC-funded project aimed at shaping the market readiness of the Southampton Digital Preservation Advisory Unit, a flagship enterprise project supported by Southampton Digital Humanities. Responsibilities include client development, liaison, partnerships, horizon scanning, market activation, intelligence gathering, and analysis to meet project objectives. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of enterprise activities in a university setting and possess a postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience in a related field.

You will join a dedicated team of educators, researchers, enterprise fellows, and technicians, supported by recent investments in Digital Humanities infrastructure and resources. Notably, the Digital Humanities Hub provides access to technologies for heritage object preservation, virtual world creation, text and multimedia analysis, data visualization, and more.
