Airship has an exciting opportunity for a UX Design Lead to join the team!

Job Location: Park Hill, Sheffield, S2 5QX (5 mins walk from the train station)

Salary: £45-50k per annum

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

UX Design Lead: The Role
  • At the heart of how our products work and feel
  • Shape the entire user experience - from understanding what problem we're solving through to ensuring what gets built actually solves it well
  • Report to our CTO, and work closely with our Product team (including our Product Managers and CEO)
  • Embed with development squads, creating wireframes and detailed flows in Figma, providing copy and UI guidance, and working alongside developers to ensure delivery of great user experiences
  • Be the person developers come to for UX guidance and sign‑off
  • Play between strategy and execution – whiteboard user journeys with CEO one day, detail button states and error messages in Figma the next
UX Design Lead: You
  • Think through problems holistically and translate those thoughts into clear, usable interfaces
  • Highly proficient with Figma and comfortable using it to communicate
  • Strong understanding of UX principles
  • Can write clear, concise copy for UI elements that guides users naturally
  • Collaborative and enjoy working closely with teams
  • Experience working on B2B SaaS products (hospitality experience is a bonus but not required)
