Senior User Researcher – Government Health Service Project

Location: Remote (must be based in UK)

Pay: Up to £400/day Outside IR35

We’re looking for a Senior User Researcher to lead research for a government-backed Digital Health Protection Service. You’ll ensure the system meets real-world needs by planning and delivering research across diverse audiences, from public health teams and local authorities to laboratories and the public.

What you’ll bring

  • Extensive experience leading research on large-scale digital or service transformation projects, ideally in health or public sector.
  • Skilled in qualitative methods (interviews, usability testing, diary studies, focus groups) and quantitative approaches (surveys, analytics).
  • Able to turn research findings into actionable insights, personas, and evidence for design and policy.
  • Experience integrating research into agile delivery and backlog prioritisation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills, engaging participants at all levels.
  • Familiarity with tools such as UserZoom, Optimal Workshop, Miro, MS Teams.
  • Commitment to accessibility, inclusion and Government digital standards.
