User Researcher (Active SC required)

We are seeking an experienced User Researcher to support the formation of a new Data Team. This role is critical in helping us understand how users interact with data systems, dashboards, and reporting tools, ensuring that our solutions are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with genuine user needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct user research activities including interviews, surveys, contextual inquiries, and usability testing across relevant user groups.
  • Synthesise research findings into actionable insights to inform the design and development of data tools and reporting frameworks.
  • Collaborate closely with data analysts, engineers, and product managers to embed user needs throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Develop personas, journey maps, and service blueprints to visualise user experiences and identify areas for improvement.
  • Present research findings and recommendations in stakeholder sessions using clear and engaging formats.
  • Identify gaps in user understanding or engagement with existing data systems and propose solutions to enhance usability and adoption.
  • Support the creation of feedback loops and mechanisms for continuous improvement of data products.
  • Potential to expand research into predictive behavioural modelling using a blend of qualitative and quantitative data.
