Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a User Researcher for an initial 6 month contract on a rate between £500/day (Outside IR35). This role will be a hybrid of working at home and in the office.

Responsibilities:

- Plan, design, and conduct user research to gather insights on user needs, behaviours, and pain points.

- Use a variety of research methods, including interviews, usability testing, surveys, and data analysis.

- Collaborate with service designers and business analysts to translate user insights into actionable recommendations.

- Advocate for users and ensure their needs are at the forefront of decision-making.

- Work closely with the project team to ensure compliance with criteria and principles.

- Document and share research findings to inform the development of user-centred solutions.

- Contribute to the development of personas, user journeys, and scenarios.

- Provide expertise in accessibility and inclusivity to ensure all users are considered.

- Strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams.

- Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
