Job summary

Outer Nest is seeking a skilled UI/UX Designer to join our digital team in the UK. You will craft intuitive, inclusive digital products, partnering with researchers, product owners, developers, and fellow designers in an Agile setting.

You will uphold user‑centred design through the full product journey, from research to delivery, shaping how users interact with products for efficiency and delight.

Qualifications

• Experience as UI/UX Designer with a strong portfolio across websites, apps and services.
• Proven ability to cover full UX lifecycle from research to prototyping and testing.
• Proficiency with Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD and InVision; capable of building design systems.
• Strong understanding of user-centred design, information architecture and interaction patterns.
• Knowledge of WCAG2.1AA accessibility and working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent communication and ability to present design rationale to diverse audiences.
• Ability to gather requirements, conduct research and translate insights into practical designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead user research activities (interviews, usability testing, surveys, workshops) and synthesize insights.
• Produce user flows, IA diagrams and low‑fidelity wireframes.
• Build interactive prototypes to test concepts with users and stakeholders.
• Create high‑fidelity UI designs, maintain design systems and style guides.
• Collaborate with product owners, engineers and content designers to deliver feasible solutions.
• Keep clear design records such as user stories, specs and rationales.
