Lookers Volkswagen Teesside is seeking a capable Used Car Sales Manager to lead an established dealership team and drive exceptional customer service. You will manage the full sales process, coach staff, and ensure showroom standards while delivering on targets.

You will oversee valuations, stock, and showroom presentation, ensuring FCA compliance and a strong customer focus. A full UK driving licence is essential, with a rewarding remuneration package and in-house training provided.

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Up to £70k OTE (£45,000- £55,000 basic DOE plus bonus)

Hours: 44 Hours - Mon to Fri 9.00am to 6.00pm (one late finish to 7pm and a day off midweek), Sat 9.00am to 5.00pm and Sunday 11.00am to 3.00pm (rota basis)

A rare and exciting opportunity has become available at Teesside Volkswagen as a Used Car Sales Manager. Have you got what it takes to lead an established department in an electrifying franchise? As a Used Car Sales Manager, you will act as a role model for customer service excellence for the team, always leading by example. You will develop long-lasting, meaningful relationships with our customers and coach and motivate the team to do so too. You will be reporting into the General Manager. This is an opportunity not to be missed!

You will oversee the day to day running of the showroom including vehicle valuations and sales; supervising the vehicle journey from workshop prep right through to imaging and showroom presentation. You will work alongside the divisional buyer, dedicated prep Technicians, detailers and photography team so that you can deliver marketing standards.

Responsibilities

• Managing the full sales process, from web inquiry to phone & showroom
• Managing staff performance from structured 121’s to training & development
• Implementing department targets and brand KPI's
• Responsible for buying in vehicles. As well as up to date stock pricing
• Ensuring full FCA compliance within the Sales Department
• Manage and own our Customer Satisfaction

You will have prior experience in a similar premium automotive environment with a proven track record in transactional sales and delivering exceptional customer service experiences. You will be able to demonstrate experience in leading a highly motivated team and know how to get the best out of each team member.

Experience monitoring financial performance against budget and the ability to identify and address any shortfalls promptly is a must. You will need the ability to understand finance and insurance product regulations and have excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and negotiate a sale. Due to the nature of the role, a full UK driving licence is essential.
