Job description

Pay: $19/hr

Hours: 6am-2:30pm M-F

The Warehouse Operator 2 unloads material from vendors, confirms material received matches vendor paperwork and is in good condition. Label and transfer material to designated building or department. Process inbound shipments by unpacking and restocking, following current procedures and guidelines. Support the shipment of customer orders following current procedures and guidelines for selecting, receiving, checking and/or packing.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
  • Loads and unloads shipments from trucks or tankers, inclusive of product and hazardous waste, while strictly adhering to governmental regulations, explicit guidelines from the Environmental & Safety Department, RCRA training, and company operating procedures.
  • Make and apply inspection labels, inspect temperature and humidity, move non‑conforming material, and sample raw materials.
  • Efficiently receive products, supplies, tools, or equipment.
  • Open drums, boxes, crates, and other containers and verifies items and counts.
  • Examine articles for defects and sort according to extent of the defect.
  • Record defect on documents, take photos of any damage, and promptly notify Shipping & Receiving Manager and Quality Department of any defects.
  • Packs material, following established procedures and instructions while complying with hazard regulations.
  • Applies all required labels and markings to box to comply with hazardous materials regulations.
  • Accurately enters and maintains computerized data to record receipt of material, status, and inventory location within 24 hours of that receipt.
  • Carefully move materials and items in a timely manner to storage or other designated areas by means of operating a tow motor and/or other similar equipment.
  • Using SAP, inventories, orders, receives, and stores all needed materials.
  • Loads delivery vehicles with pallets of finished goods using an electric walk behind or tow motor.
  • Promptly reports deviations, discrepancies, and abnormalities to management and assists in determining root cause and identifying corrective actions.
  • Deliver raw materials in a timely manner to specified areas, as needed, for production or lab use in accordance with safety guidelines and staging instructions.
  • Fill requisitions for materials and supplies for various departments and distribute items throughout the facility in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Complete inventory movement transactions on the computer within 24 hours of each inventory move and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Actively participate in a proactive safety culture, identifying hazards, making suggestions for improvement, coaching coworkers on safety, and working incident‑free.
  • Actively participates in company provided training and performs electronic training within the allocated time.
  • Picks up trash and debris in workstation and stock areas.
  • Keeps work area and stock location safe, clean, and organized.
  • Keeps packing materials organized and stored safely.
  • Performs shelf maintenance in stock areas.
  • Audits shelves to ensure inventory and correct product.
  • Miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned.

  • Pre/Annual-employment screening/medical monitoring.
  • Pass background check, drug/alcohol screen.
  • Physically/medically cleared to wear a respirator.
