Job description
Overview

The main emphasis of this role is to provide a range of administrative support to Consultants, medical staff and/or other senior members of the Divisional teams. This is achieved by operating relevant IT applications as required, ensuring targets are met and maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Duties

Duties will include audio typing, receiving patient queries and actioning appropriately, booking relevant appointments, and actioning complex instructions from clinical staff and/or other designated senior staff as appropriate.

Success Criteria

The successful candidate must be customer focused, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, excellent organisational skills, the ability to work under pressure and great attention to detail. To be successful in this role you will possess English and Maths GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent), excellent IT skills and relevant office/secretarial experience. Knowledge of medical terminology, customer care and previous NHS experience are also desirable.

NOTE: this role does not meet the Home Office criteria for the Trust to be able to offer a certificate of sponsorship; any applications that require sponsorship will not be considered.
