Job summary

Bright Star Talent is recruiting a Science Teacher for a secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent. The role covers Biology, Chemistry and Physics for KS3 and KS4, with planning provided to help you settle in.

You will deliver engaging Science lessons, assess pupil progress and support GCSE preparation, while collaborating with the Science department to ensure consistency in teaching. Experienced teachers and ECTs welcome. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong Science subject knowledge and experience teaching KS3 and KS4.
• Confident classroom management and a clear, organised teaching approach.
• A commitment to supporting pupils of different abilities.
• Availability to start ASAP and commit to an ongoing role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Adapt planned lessons to meet pupils’ needs and abilities.
• Support GCSE preparation through clear explanations and feedback.
• Deliver practical activities safely and encourage scientific enquiry.
• Assess pupils’ understanding and address learning gaps.
• Work with the Science department to provide consistent teaching.
