Job summary

HCRG Care Group is seeking an experienced Band 7 Nurse Practitioner or Paramedic Practitioner to join our Urgent Care team across Ormskirk and Skelmersdale. You will assess, diagnose and treat adults and children with urgent needs, working autonomously within a supportive MDT.

Role involves prescribing where appropriate, contributing to service development and maintaining high clinical standards. Flexible patterns include full-time and part-time with varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Registration as RN or Paramedic with professional body.
• Level 7 clinical examination qualification and V300 prescribing where applicable.
• Three years’ experience in Urgent Care/Primary Care or similar autonomous setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide autonomous assessment, diagnosis and treatment for adults and children with urgent needs.
• Manage minor illness/injury using advanced clinical decision-making.
• Independently prescribe where appropriate within scope.
• Conduct advanced examinations and differentiate diagnoses.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and act on results.
• Give clear patient education and safety netting information.
• Support patient flow and service delivery across Urgent Treatment Centre and Walk-In Centre.
• Participate in shift coordination, governance, audits and service development.
