Two-Year Term (2026 to 2028)

We’re looking for our next Honorary Treasurer for the Urban Design Group (UDG). This is a fantastic opportunity to help to lead and drive the Group alongside a team of friendly professionals, all working together to drive the future success of urban design and the UDG.

The Honorary Treasurer, together with the Chair and the Honorary Secretary, forms part of the core leadership of the UDG. They will work closely with the UDG Director, Managing Director, and Accountant, and will also receive mentoring from the outgoing Honorary Treasurer. In addition, the Honorary Treasurer serves as a Trustee of the charity and as a member of the Executive Committee.

The role involves:
  • Contributing to shaping the UDG’s strategic financial direction.
  • Helping to safeguard the charity’s finances, ensuring wise financial planning and use of resources in line with our charitable objects.
  • Overseeing and authorising major expenditure.
  • Attending 4‑5 trustee meetings per year.
  • Acting as a support to the UDG office and the Executive Committee.

Whilst you don’t need to be an expert, confidence and experience with budgets and numbers would be beneficial.

The Honorary Treasurer acts as a supportive critical friend, bringing in external insight and offering constructive advice.
