Job summary

A local recruitment agency is seeking an enthusiastic UPVC Window and Door Service Engineer in the United Kingdom. This permanent role involves routine and responsive repairs across a variety of property types, requiring a background in glazing and excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience and a full driving licence. Training for non-licenced asbestos removal will be provided.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years proven work history in the glazing trade.
  • Experience with non-licenced asbestos removal (training provided).
  • 2-5 years working in Social Housing or Building Maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs on windows and doors in various property types.
  • Maintain and service glazing systems including Tilt & Turn and Casements.
  • Support other maintenance contracts as required.

Workshop Recruitment are looking for an enthusiastic, and experienced UPVC Window and Door Service Engineer. This permanent position is well suited to an individual that is looking to advance their career and gain hands‑on experience in a thriving and supportive workplace.

In this role you will undertake responsive and routine repairs and void repairs and from time‑to‑time support other maintenance contracts as required when demand requires. You will be working in all property portfolio’s including, but not limited to, Social Housing, Schools, Public Conveniences, Offices, Heritage and Museums. When working in these property types you will be expected to use your skills, knowledge and experience to a high‑quality standard.

You will need to have an open and positive attitude and be a team player. When dealing with customers, client representatives or peers and team members you will be professional at all times and demonstrate high standards of customer service and care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Wide variety of Window & Door repairs in occupied homes, buildings and empty properties.
  • Maintaining and servicing all aspects of glazing including Tilt & Turn, Casements, Aluminium systems and Face putty.
  • Carry out non‑licenced asbestos removal where full training will be given.
Qualifications Required
  • Proven work history in the glazing trade of 3-5 years.
  • Have a full driving licence.
  • A DBS check is required before commencement of role.
Experience Required
  • 2-5 years experience of working in Social Housing or Building Maintenance environment.
