Are you an experienced Upper KS2 Teacher (Year 5) with a passion for engaging pupils and creating a positive learning environment? Reed Education is working with a welcoming primary school in Plymouth to recruit a talented teacher for an immediate start.

This is a full-time role with full classroom responsibility, including planning, marking, attending meetings, and learner reviews. You’ll be paid to scale from day one and have the opportunity to make a real impact in a supportive school setting. This position is confirmed until July 2026.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Deliver high-quality lessons for Upper KS2 pupils (Year 5).
  • Complete all planning and marking in line with school expectations.
  • Attend staff meetings and contribute to learner progress reviews.
  • Support pupils with SEN needs, including planning for those with EHCPs.
  • Engage pupils through creative teaching strategies and build strong relationships with learners, parents, and colleagues.
  • Communicate professionally with staff and external agencies.
What We’re Looking For:
  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
  • Experience teaching KS2 pupils (Year 5).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport.
  • Strong classroom management and ability to engage learners.
  • Understanding of SEN strategies and inclusive teaching practices.
  • DBS on the Update Service is a plus, or willingness to obtain one through Reed (£49.50).
