Unqualified Teaching Assistant

Agency Temp to Perm
Location: Darwen
Start: Immediate

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Unqualified Teaching Assistant to join a supportive specialist education setting in Darwen. This is an agency-based position with a strong potential to move into a permanent role for the right candidate.

The successful applicant will work alongside teaching staff to support pupils with additional needs, helping them to engage in learning, build confidence and develop key skills. You will provide one-to‑one and small group support, assist with classroom routines and contribute to creating a calm, structured environment where every pupil can thrive.

Key responsibilities
  • Supporting pupils with a range of learning and behavioural needs

  • Providing targeted one-to‑one and group support
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
