Outcomes First Group's Hillingdon Manor School in Uxbridge is seeking an enthusiastic Unqualified Teacher to support pupils with Special Educational Needs. Salary £31,500 per annum, 38.5 hours per week, permanent term time only, start September 2026.

UK applicants only; sponsorship not available. This role focuses on delivering engaging lessons, building relationships and contributing to a multidisciplinary team to help pupils progress, confidence and independence in a supportive specialist

Qualifications

• Has previous classroom teaching experience within an SEN setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons, one-to-one sessions and small-group learning tailored to pupils with additional needs.
• Plan, prepare and assess learning, adapting lessons to meet EHCP outcomes.
• Create a calm, structured and nurturing classroom where pupils feel safe and motivated to learn.
• Monitor progress and use assessment to support development.
• Build positive relationships to help pupils develop confidence and resilience.
• Collaborate with teachers and therapists to provide holistic support.
• Participate in EHCP reviews and maintain safeguarding standards.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver engaging lessons, one-to-one sessions and small-group learning tailored to pupils with a range of additional needs.
• Plan, prepare and assess learning, adapting lessons to meet individual Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) outcomes.
• Create a calm, structured and nurturing classroom where pupils feel safe, valued and motivated to learn.
• Monitor progress, celebrate achievement and use assessment to support continued development.
• Build positive, trusting relationships that help pupils develop confidence, emotional resilience and independence.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, schemes of work and innovative learning experiences.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, families and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide consistent, holistic support.
• Participate in EHCP reviews, meetings and professional development while maintaining accurate records and the highest safeguarding standards.

About Us

At Hillingdon Manor, we provide specialist education for 185 pupils, aged between 10 and 19. Located across two sites, our Secondary School supports around 125 students. Our students are taught in smaller class sizes and all students work towards a variety of qualifications dependent on their needs and ability.

The aim of the site is to provide enough support to unlock each pupil's potential so they can live fulfilling and productive lives. We provide students with as much freedom as possible in a safe and supervised environment.
