A leading educational organization in Gloucester is seeking a part-time barber or hairdresser to teach hairdressing skills to key stage four pupils. This role emphasizes mentoring and empowering students, with no formal teaching qualifications needed. You will help students develop practical skills and positive career aspirations in a creative and supportive environment, with excellent training opportunities available.
Affinity Workforce Solutions is seeking a qualified barber or hairdresser to share their expertise within a classroom setting at an alternative provision school in the BS5 area. You will be teaching key stage four pupils, develop their practical skills, and advise on future career opportunities within the hair and beauty sector. This role is a part-time role, working 26 hours per week.
The school is a multi-site alternative provision that supports children aged 4-16 who have been excluded from mainstream education. It's a creative and supportive setting where vocational skills like hairdressing can make a real difference in helping students re-engage with learning and build confidence.
You don't need formal teaching qualifications - just the ability to connect, inspire, and share your craft. Your experience running a column of clients, mentoring apprentices, and managing salon operations makes you a fantastic fit for this rewarding opportunity.
The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys mentoring and empowering others. Your industry experience and enthusiasm for the sector will be instrumental in shaping the success and ambitions of our learners. You will also be a strong communicator, have the ability to embrace change and motivate students. You do not need any teaching experience, but you will need to be able to manage a classroom.
At Affinity Workforce, we pride ourselves on recruiting to a high standard; finding those who will deliver and foster encouraging environments. We look for professionals with excellent training skills, and have high expectations of work and behaviour.
We encourage applications from underrepresented groups and are open to flexible working options.
