Hands-on, creative, and ready to inspire? We’re looking for an enthusiastic Unqualified Design & Technology Teacher to support a thriving secondary school in Walsall. Whether your background is in engineering, carpentry, product design, or another practical trade, this could be your chance to step into teaching and share your skills with the next generation.
Supporting and delivering DT lessons across KS3 and KS4
Helping students get stuck into practical projects, from woodwork to design challenges
Working closely with the DT team to plan and set up engaging lessons
Encouraging students to develop problem-solving, creativity, and resilience
A welcoming and supportive environment with a strong focus on vocational skills
Access to well-resourced DT workshops and equipment
On-the-job training and CPD opportunities, with the chance to progress towards QTS
A collaborative staff team who are passionate about giving pupils real-world skills
Have experience in a practical trade, workshop, or design environment
Are confident leading groups and keen to support learners of all abilities
Can bring enthusiasm and structure to the classroom
