Job summary

Service Care Solutions Ltd in Reading is recruiting an experienced Unpaid Work Supervisor (Community Payback Supervisor) to join a busy probation team on a 6-month contract. You will supervise offenders on Unpaid Work, delivering structured programmes and maintaining accurate records.

The role requires outdoor supervision, risk management and safeguarding awareness, a full UK driving licence, and willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

Qualifications

• Essential experience supervising Unpaid Work/Community Payback.
• Confident in outdoor/practical settings.
• Full UK driving licence (vehicle often required).
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to undergo one).

Responsibilities

• Supervise groups of service users undertaking Unpaid Work placements safely and effectively.
• Deliver structured, purposeful work programmes in line with National Standards.
• Complete attendance, behaviour, and progress records.
• Enforce breach procedures where non-compliance occurs.
• Promote a safe, disciplined, and rehabilitative working environment.
• Liaise with Probation Practitioners on individual case management.
