Job summary

The University of Reading, in partnership with the Diocese of Oxford, invites applications for an Anglican Chaplain to lead the Chaplaincy Team and Multi-Faith provision on campus. You will develop Christian faith and worship, provide pastoral care to students, and work to strengthen links with local Anglican churches while fostering inclusive community across the university.

You will coordinate chaplaincy for other denominations and faiths, and promote safeguarding and welfare as central

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level (or relevant equivalent experience) with theological training.
  • Ordained Anglican priest in good standing for licensing by the Bishop of Reading (Diocese of Oxford).
  • Experience providing pastoral care to students, especially young people.
  • Experience of ecumenism and working with other faiths within a diverse team.
  • Flexible and imaginative approach to liturgy and worship.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills; able to lead and delegate effectively.
