A leading healthcare provider in the UK is seeking an experienced Maternity Assessment Centre/Antenatal day Unit Manager. This role involves overseeing staff and services to ensure high quality care for women and their families. Maternity Assessment Centre/Antenatal day Unit Manager – Band 7 – 37.5 hours
Our Maternity Assessment Centre and Antenatal day unit are key evolving services within our maternity unit. We utilise the BSOTs maternity triage system in the department in response to local and national drivers for improved safety and quality for families accessing our service. As a department leader you will manage and co-ordinate staff and activity within the department, while working closely with all maternity teams to ensure safe, effective and efficient care for women and their families.

We are looking for a Maternity Assessment Centre/Antenatal day Unit (MACU) Manager who is well equipped to develop self, service and others towards excellence. To provide expert care, support and advice to women and their families, in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) The code: Professional standards of practice and behaviour for nurses, midwives and nursing associates (2018).
To lead, manage and co-ordinate staff and activity within the Maternity Assessment Centre / Antenatal day Unit (MACU), with 24 hour accountability for service planning.
To provide expert clinical advice in relation to the education, management and leadership of midwives and support staff.
To lead on the development, planning and future implementation of services in line with evidence-based practice, government drivers, national and local recommendations, and initiatives.
