Indigo Healthcare is working in partnership with an established specialist nursing provider to appoint a Unit Manager for a large service in the Shipley area. This is a role suited to an experienced qualified nurse who enjoys being visible on the floor, leading a team and remaining hands-on with care. The service provides specialist 24/7 support to young adults with complex physical and neurological conditions and has a strong clinical focus, including palliative care.
You will take day-to-day responsibility for leading your unit, supporting the team and ensuring consistently high standards of clinical care. The role operates on a 50/50 supernumerary basis, giving you a genuine balance between leadership and hands-on nursing. You'll spend part of your time supervising and supporting the team, while remaining directly involved in the delivery of care. This isn't a role where you'll be managing from the office. It's about being present on the floor, providing clinical leadership, supporting your team and making sure residents receive the right care throughout the shift.
You'll be a qualified nurse who is confident leading a team within a nursing or complex care environment and comfortable remaining hands-on. You'll likely have:
