Unit Lead (Days). Oak Springs Care Home
  • £15.26 per hour
  • 44 hours (4 days per week)
  • 8am-8pm shifts

Our beautiful 74-bedded home is spread across 3 floors and our lively team supports the vibrant community of residents to enjoy everything from music rooms and a beauty salon to peaceful lounge and courtyard areas. About the Role

As a Unit Lead you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day running of one of our care units. This is a senior position that combines hands‑on care with leadership and operational responsibilities. You will work closely with the Home Manager and wider leadership team to ensure the highest standards of care compliance and team performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a team of care staff ensuring compassionate person‑centred care is delivered consistently.
  • Oversee the daily operations of your unit including staff deployment care delivery and resident wellbeing.
  • Conduct and review care assessments, risk assessments and care plans in line with regulatory standards.
  • Administer medication safely and accurately maintaining detailed records.
  • Carry out staff supervisions, appraisals and performance reviews.
  • Liaise with families, healthcare professionals and external agencies to coordinate care and support.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and internal quality standards through regular audits and reporting.
  • Promote a positive culture of teamwork, respect and continuous improvement.
