Assistant Underwriter - Property & Casualty

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Underwriter - Property & Casualty.

This is a great job for someone who is able to partner with brokers and customers to truly understand their wants and needs, using data insight to ensure we provide whole customer solutions.

A bit about the job:

As a Assistant Underwriter you will work collaboratively within one of our London Underwriting teams to support both the Senior Underwriter and Team Manager in delivering financials. You will focus on supporting renewals and mid-term adjustments. You’ll need great organisation and time management skills, including the ability to manage your own diary successfully in a fast-paced environment.

A key part of your role will be to visit brokers to develop, build, and strengthen working relationships, ensuring continued visibility in the market and identifying new opportunities to grow our portfolio.

You will work closely with the Thames Valley Trading team, supporting collaboration and regional growth.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:
  • Strong focus on either new or existing business development and conversion
  • The ability to analyse risks and communicate and present effectively to brokers and/or customers
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a large, complex organisation
  • A keen interest in building knowledge of FCA and other relevant regulation and legislation & strong commercial business insight to create and deliver business cases
