A leading reinsurance firm in London is seeking an Underwriting Assistant to join their Property Treaty team. We are currently offering an excellent opportunity for an Underwriting Assistant to join the Faraday Property Treaty (reinsurance) team.
This is a fantastic entry‑level role for a motivated, tech‑savvy individual with an interest in data, coding, and analytics, and a desire to develop their skills and career within the insurance industry. The role provides a strong foundation in underwriting processes and is designed to progress towards a career in underwriting.
To provide administrative and underwriting support to the Property Treaty team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of day‑to‑day activities, supporting underwriters in delivering a timely and accurate service, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the team.
Alongside developing core underwriting skills, the role offers opportunities to build and apply technical expertise, for example, in data analysis, reporting, and process automation (including tools such as Power BI and basic coding in Python, SQL, or VBA).
Candidates with an existing aptitude in this area, or simply a strong interest in developing these skills, will have the opportunity to apply and further develop these skills as the role evolves.
The role is part of the Property Treaty team and will work closely with its members on day‑to‑day activities. It also requires regular collaboration with other internal teams, particularly Operations, Loss Modelling, and Wordings, as well as clear and professional communication with brokers. Building and maintaining strong working relationships across these groups is an important part of the role.
