Job summary

Lycetts Insurance Brokers, part of Benefact Group, is seeking an Underwriter to join our Newcastle office (other regional Lycetts offices can be considered). You will manage and expand a renewal portfolio while gaining exposure to diverse binders across sectors including Farm & Estate, Woodlands, Equine, Commercial, Household, Leisure and Livestock.

You’ll collaborate with brokers to streamline renewals, help shape new products, and build strong relationships with insurers and colleagues while

Qualifications

• Experience in insurance underwriting, with Farm & Estate or Commercial focus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow renewal and new business portfolios.
• Collaborate with brokers to streamline renewals and improve client outcomes.
• Cross-train across binders and sectors.
• Help establish new products within the underwriting team and build insurer relationships.
• Provide expert advice to the broking arm.
• Lead client-centric projects and automate processes where possible.
