Team and Role

The successful candidate will join the Inigo Reinsurance Team, which manages a global portfolio including Property Catastrophe, Aggregate, Risk Excess of Loss, and some Proportional treaties. The portfolio also covers specialties like Cyber, Crop, and Terrorism. Inigo is a leading market in reinsurance, projecting over $500m in premium income by 2025. This role will primarily focus on the international (ex US) property and specialty portfolios.

Role Objectives

As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for developing and managing a profitable reinsurance portfolio, primarily underwriting Property lines to meet business goals. You will collaborate with experienced underwriting and analytics teams to achieve this.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver the division’s business plan profit, NCR, and ROE targets.
  • Maintain relationships with clients, brokers, partners, and colleagues to meet objectives.
  • Participate in meetings to share and develop strategy, knowledge, and best practices.
  • Prepare relevant materials and conduct research for planning.
  • Provide robust pricing and analytics to brokers and cedants.
  • Deliver excellent client service and relationship management.
  • Contribute to marketing and business development efforts, exploring new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with analytics, claims, and exposure management teams.
  • Support team culture of passion, positivity, and collaboration.
