AIG Underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including Financial Lines, Property & Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, and Multinational Clients. What you need to know:

  • Assist in underwriting of new and renewal business in accordance with underwriting guidelines, relevant underwriting authority and AIG principles.
  • Use designated Underwriting system(s) to streamline underwriting and information‑tracking across Profit Centre.
  • Provide accurate monthly Management information including but not limited to submissions, bind rate, average premium and total premium as required.
  • Provide excellent service to brokers through a consistent, timely and proactive approach to underwriting.
  • Maintain adequate retention of renewals within the portfolio.
  • Work closely with Underwriters to ensure maintenance/development of solid working relationships with brokers to create business opportunities.
  • Complete all delegated projects in the manner expected and requested by the Line Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with key regulatory and risk‑management responsibilities.

  • Underwriting or broking experience (KRE knowledge an advantage).
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, organise work and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation is maintained.
  • Learning Agility – demonstrates a growth mindset through an ability and willingness to learn from experiences and new situations.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Tenacious, motivated, proactive.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
